WantList (1999-2002)

Theoriginal Want List was a continuous effort that ran for severalconsecutive years, and was very successful. I corresponded with numerous manufacturers about thelist, and over the three years that the list was operational, atleast a dozen entries were removed, once kits were released inplastic. A great many more have also since been released inresin.

I wouldlike to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who participatedin the survey; you have all played a major part in guiding thefuture of our hobby. I look forward to all of your continuedparticipation with the future annual surveys.

Some notesabout these lists:

• They refer to 1/72nd scale kits. I am aware that many of these vehicles are available in 1/76th scale.
• These lists were current as of June 2002. By the time you read this, there may have been some new releases making these lists obsolete.
• The original intention of the lists was to get kits available in plastic, so that they would be more readily available to the majority of modelers around the world. Therefore, I have divided the lists into kits not available in any medium whatsoever, and kits that are available in resin, but not plastic.
