Welcome to the 2005 "Most Wanted Kit" survey page. This survey is an annual event intended to keep manufacturers of 1/72nd scale AFVs appraised of the most current desires of the modeling community. The rules are simple. There are lists for two eras: World War II and earlier (1900 - 1945); and Post-World War II (1946 - current). Of course there may be overlap between these periods, and we will deal with them on a case by case basis, putting them where they played a more instrumental role. This year for the first time we are adding an additional list: Figures . Entries in this list should be categorized for Era, Nationality and role. For example: WW II British Tank Crew, or Vietnam War NVA Infantry, or 1980s Soviet Artillery Crew. Note that we are aiming for Diorama-quality figures here, not wargaming. Think of the small, four or five-figure metal or resin sets such as those produced by MIG, Almogavers or Goffy Model, not the 50-figure sets of soft plastic toys. Once again, this year we are changing how the results of the voting will be displayed. As the survey progresses, we will list items that have been voted for, but without their cumulative score. They will be listed alphabetically until the survey is completed, at which time, the final results will be posted. Hopefully this method will give people some ideas of what to vote for, without unduly influencing them. Send your votes to: You get one vote for each category (if you want to). Just send an email to: telling us your most wanted item for each category, and we'll add them to the lists. Vote for whatever you want. My own goal is to get these vehicles available in plastic, so I personally may vote for something already available in resin. But don't let current availability stop you from voting for something. You can even vote for a vehicle that's already available in plastic, if you feel that a better kit is warranted. We will not respond to these vote messages; We will only tabulate the votes and discard the messages, so please, do not ask questions or include other information in these notes, because we will likely not see them. If you have questions, please send them to our regular email addresses . Please only vote once. If you send a list with several votes in a single category, we will only take the top vote. And we don't want to see things like: "Me and my 12 friends who don't have internet connection all want to vote for the Centurion" That won't work :-) |
