Theres a new decalmanufacturer out there! Actually, its a dry transfermanufacturer from Russia Micro World ( www.mwdio.chat.ru ).
Their two new 1/72-scalesheets cover Soviet WW2 armor (Lend-Lease and war booty) (sheet #7.204) and T-34 and KV tanks markings (# 7.205).
Instructions are includedand they show where the markings should be applied.
The Lend-Lease sheetcovers two M3 Lee tanks, three M3 Stuart tanks, two M3A1 Scoutcars, one Valentine IV, one Churchill tank, one Matilda, one M4A2Sherman tank, one Pz.IVF, one Stug.IIIC/D, one Pz.VA, and onePz.IIIH. Four sets of digits from 1 to 0 are also included.
The transfers are verysharp and crisp and would make an excellent choice for WW2 Sovietarmor enthusiasts. My only reservation is that the markings forM4A2 Sherman tank, particularly the triangles with the number154, are a bit undersized and the sides of triangles should bethicker.
The backside of thepackage contains the emblems presented on the sheet with anexplanation which unit they belong to.
The T-34 and KV sheetcontains markings for 18 (!) T-34 tanks, 5 KV-1 tanks, one KV-1S,one KV-8S, one KV-85, and one SU-152 SPG. The quality of printingis similar to the Lend-Lease sheet and is excellent.
Instructions for bothsheets describe units numbers and theaters of operation.However, one should check references since mistakes in unitidentifications are possible (for example, M4A2 Sherman belongedto the 1 st GuardsTank Corps, which operated in Berlin, not the 1 st Guards Mechanized Corps, which operated inVienna).
My overall impression isvery positive and I would highly recommend these sheets to allmodelers enthusiastic of dry transfers and/or the subject matter.After reviewing these dry transfers I suggest to buy as many ofthem as you can. Also get these models to decorate them withthese excellent transfers!
My other suggestion is topotential importers: please, bring these fine products to the USand other markets!
